Tom Masters, a Marine Engineer with a First Class Certificate of Competency, joined TMC in May 2013 having gained eight years of surveying and consultancy experience with a well-known London based P&I and H&M Insurer, as well as a London based consultancy. Tom?s 25 years at sea saw him sail in all ranks up to and including Chief Engineer on a variety of vessels, including Ro-ro/Ro-Pax, High Speed Craft, Tankers, Handy Size Bulk Carriers, etc., propelled by two and four stroke, slow, medium and high speed engines. Tom has experience of attending and investigating several types of causalities including collisions, fire damage, pollution, hull & machinery failures/damages and repairs, off-spec/contaminated fuel and associated wear/etc. He has been called to attend arbitration hearings as an expert witness. TMC Marine Inc. opened its Houston office in February 2015, with Tom as its Managing Director.
